Pakleni islands
Pakleni islands stretch along the southwestern coast of the island Hvar. Westernmost island is Vodnjak Veli, and the biggest among them is St. Clement which features three occasionally inhabited villages: Palmizna, Momici polje and Vlaka. Coast of the island are bare and rocky, the interior is covered with low forest and maquis. Passages between the islands are shallow and do not allow sailing of larger ships. In Palmizna there is a marina and an anchorage for boaters. The beaches on the islands are sand and pebble and are suitable for swimming and fishing. Because of its beauty and perfect nature, Pakleni islands are a destination for many tourists and visitors, especially sailors who these waters offer an unforgettable vacation experience in the original beauty of nature.
